Son offers mom almonds, but little does she know...

Can we truly ever trust food when it comes from a child?
Eating healthy with the kids around can be challenging. We love encouraging our kids to do this, but do they agree with our supposition? Not so much.
We have learnt from being around kids that you can never truly trust their intentions. So, when your child offers you a plate of almonds, this is your sign to look deeper into their actions.
A mother shared a classic example of how she was almost deceived.

Here are some valuable tips for getting your kids to eat fruit and nuts:
- Presentation is everything for kids. They are like play dough in your hands if you make it fun and attractive.
- Instead of raw nuts, make it into nut butter and spread it over toast or apples (their favourite fruit).
- Blend, blend, blend. If your kids don't migrate to whole fruits and nuts, blend it up to make a smoothie, or even better, combine some dates and make it a fruit date ball.
- Add crushed almonds, chia seeds, cashews (or nut powders) into cupcakes or pancakes.
