Stepdad honours daughter's father at daddy-daughter dance

Father's Day isn't the same for everyone.
Where you would usually be planning a special day for dad, not everyone has a father around anymore.
One video that really tugged at our strings this weekend was posted by a mom whose daughter was attending a father-daughter dance.
Sadly her father is late after committing suicide.

But her stepdad really made it up to her. The dynamics of blended families aren't always what we want them to be.
Filled with the stereotypical idea that step-parents and step-kids don't get along. But that image is just a stereotype and doesn't apply to everyone.
This stepfather proved that by getting a photo of his stepdaughter and her dad printed on canvas for her. He surprised her with it at their second daddy-daughter dance.
He also wrote her an emotional and heartwarming letter...

His words were honest and genuine, and the fact that he did this says a lot about the man and father he is.
Sometimes people who are meant to be in your life come into your life in the most unconventional of ways, but that's how life can be.
