Teacher shares a beautiful lesson about the power of words

"If somebody can't change something about themselves in 30 seconds or less, then you shouldn't mention it to them."

Our educators play pivotal roles in our lives. Not only do we spend most of our days with them, but what they teach us stays with us well beyond our school years.

So, of course, you would want to have a teacher who imparts the most valuable and uplifting lessons.

A single father who is gay shared a video by a teacher named Ms Ringold, and in the video, she is teaching her students a lesson about the words we use.

We love how simple yet profound this lesson is; if we are sincere, many adults could learn it, too.

Our words do have power, and they can hurt. Her use of the toothpaste showed the kids how you cannot fix it once you have said something. Life is not a recorded piece of content where you can go back and edit things to fit perfectly.

Life can get messy when you don't think about what you want to say before saying it. And that applies to all aspects of life, not just someone's appearance—some excellent food for thought as we approach the end of the week.
