Teacher skips her way into the hearts of students
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
The connection between students and their teachers has evolved...and we are loving it.
Teachers have really been blowing up on social media - and in a very positive and uplifting way.
It really does put a smile on our faces when we see the type of content that shows passion for students.
Besides the fact that this shows their ability to connect with students, aka our children, it also shows a new breed of teachers.
Teachers who are able to play on the same field as their students, who can understand them better. This is what the new generation of teaching looks like.
One teacher that jumped on the trend was Lungy Maziya.
She posted a video of her jumping rope with her students during break time and it really was such a playful thing to watch.
Very rarely have we seen teachers step out of their box and engage with their students. We assume from our own experience that they chose not to do this because they wanted students to remember that they are to be respected.
In other words, they did not want the relationship between student and teacher to be a casual one. But perhaps this is what our kids need?

Perhaps this new breed of teachers will help kids feel more engaged inside the classroom.
What do you think?
