Who doesn't enjoy learning a hack now and then?

Not only do hacks make you feel like you know the eleven herbs and spices from KFC, but they can also help you save money - and who doesn't enjoy saving moola?

A woman shared three simple yet effective cleaning hacks that can be used in any household. Each hack uses simple household items that most people would always have in their homes.

To be specific, they include, ice, shaving cream, and dishwashing liquid.

1. Toilet stains

Drop ice cubes into your toilet bowl; believe it or not, according to Leeanne on TikTok, they help with stubborn stains.

All you have to do is fill your toilet bowl with ice cubes. You can add enough ice to cover the stain. Then, you can add toilet cleaner or household detergent to the sides of the ice.

"Once the products have had adequate time to clean and sanitise, just flush the ice down the toilet and scrub as usual, or scrub with the ice still in the bowl and then flush afterwards. The latter method has the advantage of using ice's abrasion against the bowl to dislodge any mildew, mineral buildup, or other icky bits, but be cautious about loose toilet ice cubes flying out as you scrub." 2. Shaving foam/cream

Shaving cream can be used to remove odours from your toilet floor. Add shaving cream to your scrubbing brush and scrub the floor liberally, making sure to hit the grouted part.

After scrubbing, leave it on the floor for around fifteen minutes, and then wipe it off with a wet cloth.

3. Sofa/Couch cleaner

You can soak a microfibre cloth in dishwashing liquid and tie the fabric onto a pot lid. The pot lid provides something sturdy to grip.

Then wipe the top of your sofa/couch. Of course, let your couch air dry after that because the surface will be damp. Remember, this only works on fabric couches and shouldn't be tried on leather, suede, or other fabrics without getting some advice from a professional.
