Three food hacks that will amaze you

If you like your avocados to ripen naturally and prefer not to wait, then these hacks are for you...

We live in a country where poverty is rife and in a world where food wastage has become something of a pandemic in itself.
Therefore, many food outlets and supermarkets are trying to approach food wastage more sustainably. Many households are also trying to do the same by changing their lifestyles. Some switch to meal planning so there is no wastage, others recycle their waste into compost, and some follow hacks to manage their food more efficiently.
We found three food hacks that are super helpful and will even save you time.
The first hack helps blueberry fans. If you dump blueberries in a water bowl, the sweetened ripe ones will sink to the bottom, while the non-ripe ones will float to the top.
The second one involves the freshness of eggs.
Take a glass of water and place the egg inside. If the egg sinks to the bottom, it is fresh, but if it rises to the top, it is rotten.
If you are not good with waiting for your avocados to ripen, then just add the avocado to a bag with a banana; the gas from the banana will ripen the avocado faster.
Amin Shaykho shared the above food hacks on TikTok.
