Three-year-old makes her own breakfast, surprises the internet
This is impressive considering some adults cannot even make their own breakfast.
We are never that surprised anymore to see toddlers doing things that are beyond their age.
Coming to learn that kids are a different breed altogether has been something of a reality that slammed into us.
We have to say that learning this has been a shocker for many parents - and it is something that stemmed from experience.
Of course, it goes against our nature to let our kids take control when they yearn for it.
But we are all learning and that is the reason we also need to seize control ourselves and give in to their desperate need to control their circumstances.
A video that reminded us that it is possible to guide them through their independence showed a three-year-old making her own breakfast.

Teaching kids how to be independent and care for themselves is something that we stray from as parents (well, not all of us).
Sometimes it is because it is easier for us to just do it ourselves, but remembering that we are meant to be help empower them and enable them is important.
Because, one day, they will go out on their own, and would you rather have a kid who can care for themselves or one that relies on you totally?
