TikToker shares her cost-effective way of making Cheesecake

We really love this idea and that too from a home staple for many South Africans.
After coming across some of Tammy Rudolph's savings tips on TikTok, we decided it would be nice to get in touch with her.
Tammy Rudolph is a mother who grew up in Athlone, Cape Town and currently lives in the Northern Suburbs of the Mother City.
We asked her what motivated her to share her savings tips with others and if she has always loved cooking. This is what she had to say:
I’ve always been interested in making food and recently it’s become very expensive to just buy essentials, so that was one of my main motivators to make homemade recipes. I just thought, let me share this with other people because you know we are all, or most of us are feeling the pinch. I was also very interested in using as few ingredients as possible with the same taste and quality. I also wanted to use what I had at my disposal in my cupboards so as to not waste and also have fun with the creativity.- Tammy Rudolph
Being a thrifty mom is important in this day and age with the cost of living. So, we asked Tammy if she teaches her kids her savvy ways...
"I definitely teach my kids to save and not be wasteful and I also feel it’s important for them to be able to use their hands in any situation, so when they find themselves in a financial bind one day they can just quickly make something and turn it into cash. An extra skill basically that they will always have."

We love how resourceful Tammy is and how she is sharing her knowledge with others.
A 2l Amasi is roughly R34.00 in comparison to Cream Cheese, which goes for around R70.00.
So, this is definitely something that will allow people to indulge in a much-loved dessert without breaking the bank.
