Toddler tells mum she hurt his feelings

We are living in a world of smart kids who aren't afraid to express their feelings...
This generation of children have one dominant trait that we love - they are more in tune with their emotions.
What makes it even better, is that they are not afraid to share their feelings regardless of who they are speaking to. And we have to admit that is something we wish we had more of.
We grew up during a time that didn't really warrant talking about your feelings.
So, when our kids speak to us about things we have done to contribute to their feelings, it is emotionally profound.
With the likes of things such as gentle and positive parenting, we see a whole new era of parenting emerging.
At bedtime, mum sits down with him and he shares things about his day.
It so happens on this particular day he told mum that she hurt his feelings because she did not take him outside.

This blew us off our feet. To hear a child at three or maybe four talking about emotion and taking responsibility for his choices says so much for our future.
If we can harness and nurture our children's emotions, and help them regulate them, we can surely see a bright future for all.
