Traffic officer makes Mzansi beam with pride

A wonderful testament to what being a hearty and happy-go-lucky South African means.
As we get over the euphoria of Heritage Day, we find that it is the day-to-day pleasures of experiencing South Africans that keep our spirit alive.
One video, in particular, shows a traffic officer bringing light to a mundane experience on the streets of Port Elizabeth.
A passerby on a busy intersection in Port Elizabeth managed to video the traffic controller do his best to bring joy to people during peak hour traffic.
The traffic lights were down, which we assume was due to loadshedding.
The lighthearted and playful controller used fun hand signals, swaying his body in a very upbeat way to direct motorists at the four-way intersection.
Even through loadshedding and the frustrations that come with that, he was able to bring some joy to people travelling through the peak time traffic.
