VIDEO: When 'me time' is interrupted and the carrots take the fall
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
Trust a mother to be prepared for anything - when your kid thinks your 'me time' snack is carrots...
Having 'me time' is a vital part of anyone's day, regardless of age. This is just as healthy for kids as it is for adults.
Hence, many kids are encouraged to have quiet time, aka 'me time'.
One mother was trying to have 'me time' and think about ideas for supper, and what better way to have some 'me time' than with a bite of chocolate? But as she brainstormed dinner ideas, her daughter caught her off guard, and she instinctively got rid of any sign of chocolate.
There was a trend on social media where many mothers showed themselves treating themselves to chocolate, and when their kids found them, they swallowed everything, including the chocolate packaging.
It was hilarious to watch.
This mother didn't swallow the packaging but was instead one step ahead. She had her grater and carrots out and ended up hiding the rest of the slab inside the grater.
Essentially, she did what most parents often do, she fooled her daughter into believing she was snacking on carrots. Be honest, you've waited for your kids to go to bed before enjoying a sweet treat...
