The Maropeng Visitor Centre offers a transformative experience with an award-winning exhibition that explores the development of humans and our ancestors over millions of years.
Take a trip through time, starting with how the planet formed and moving through the evolution that led to the world we know today.
You'll also be able to see fossils, learn about the beginnings of humankind, check out stone tools that are up to a million years old, and much more.
This self-guided, interactive tour lets you take your time and really soak in humanity’s incredible story.
You can book tickets online or at the Maropeng Visitor Centre. Prices are as follows:
General: R125
Pensioners: R100 (proof of identification is required)
Children under six: Free (only applicable to general guests – family groups included; school groups are excluded)
