The name sounds sincere, but this character looks anything but sincere...
As much as having the internet has proven to help with parenting, it is also a big red flag that needs to be monitored, constantly. There is as much bad as there is good.

Police in parts of England have issued a warning to parents about a character named 'Huggy Wuggy'. Huggy Wuggy is not at all as his name suggests. The blue teddy has razor sharp teeth and bright red lips, long arms and legs.
"Originally appearing as the major antagonist in the 2021 horror video game Poppy Playtime, he’s since been doing the rounds on TikTok and YouTube." (LadBible)
The bear has quite a sinister character and it is quite disturbing to watch as an adult, so we cannot imagine what the effects would be on kids. Huggy Wuggy is in fact the villain in the playtime video game and stalks players from vents and unreachable places.
Sounds like a distant cousin to 'It'...
There has been an influx of videos and recreations of Huggy Wuggy, with songs on YouTube that are quite disturbing.
"One song includes the lyrics 'I could hug you here forever, till you breathe your last breath together'." (LadBible)
