This story is truly inspiring, not only does it show determination but it supports the premise that having a positive mindset can get you out of anything.
A man who shared that he had become paralysed after a New Year's party in 2021, has shared his positive news with the world on social media.
Chase Friedman, injured himself during a NY party and brought in the new year with news that he had a 50/50 chance of ever taking a step on his own again.
His life of movement would be confined to an electric wheelchair.
After sharing that he felt like everything he had been through from the time he was a child had prepared him for this chapter in his life, he decided to set some personal goals.
Pushing through the pain and the overwhelming feeling of hopelessness was difficult but he tried to stay positive and believe in the best.
He was unable to move his hands at all in the first two months of his recovery, but he managed to meet his first goal, which was to flip the bird with his middle finger. Not the ideal mark of being positive but we appreciate his ability to remain spicy.

One of his other goals was to walk up the 'Rocky' steps, you know the iconic staircase that we all remember from the movie with Sylvester Stallone, Rocky.
After sharing this goal with people online, he was surprised to see hundreds of people physically gather at the museum staircase to watch him climb the steps.
The cherry on the cake was when Sylvester himself posted about his story and called him the "Real life Rocky".
If anything his determination is a reminder of the things we can achieve if we truly believe in ourselves.
