WATCH: Kid who got his tongue stuck on freezer door

This is possibly one of the most important life lessons a child will learn.

It's not unusual for us to see kids do the most silly things – after all, it's in their nature to experiment and challenge the unknown. While this adventurous spirit is admirable, it can also lead to some sticky situations.
Take this seven-year-old boy, for example. His parents stayed remarkably cool when they discovered his tongue frozen to the freezer door.
His mom, Brooke Ryan Genovese, joked that her son clearly learnt nothing from the movie 'A Christmas Story'.

But in this case, we doubt there was any dare involved – we think curiosity got the better of him.
When his mother found her son in this predicament, she stayed as cool as a cucumber, while his sister asked, "What were you thinking?"
The little boy burst into tears, his tongue firmly stuck to the freezer door. But when Genovese returns moments later, his tongue is suddenly free – though how it happened remains a mystery.

Although young Gino was freed from the door, his mom still had a word of caution for others: don’t try this at home. While he might find the incident funny now, his tongue is still sore...
However, not everyone on social media was impressed by this mother's content, criticising her for filming such a vulnerable moment.
They said some moments – especially when a child is distressed – should not be shared.
