WATCH: Footage of nanny allegedly neglecting baby
Updated | By The Workzone with Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp
A mother who went into labor with her twins at 22 weeks shares how she has a camera in her home to monitor the care provided to her daughter. She reveals that the home nurse neglected her baby and it was all captured on camera. Not for sensitive viewers.
We always say that parenting is no easy feat, but when you are forced to ask for outside help, it is somehow even more stressful.
Because let's face it, sometimes you cannot do everything on your own. As much as we would like to believe we can, it's not always possible.
Especially when we literally are unable to give our babies the care that they need.
A woman who went into labour at 22 weeks shared her story online. Whilst one of her twin baby girls was on life support, the other baby girl needed care that she was unable to provide her with.
And so she had to use a home nurse service.
As this was something that she was not 100% comfortable doing, they installed a camera in the living area. After monitoring footage from the camera, she discovered that the nurse was in fact restraining her baby and neglecting her.

Many people were confused as to what exactly the nurse was doing, so mom, who goes by Tay, shared an explanation video.
Apart from the above snippet, she also shared that the nurse only minimally fed her premature baby girl from one bottle the entire day. In addition, she also did not change the baby's diaper after being told that baby had a bad nappy rash and was experiencing diarrhoea.
The scary part for us was watching the way the nurse just stared at the baby. It was like there was no care or interest in the baby. It just goes to show how some people are not meant to be in the field they work in.
