Sometimes think before you TikTok...
One of the biggest things that we suffer with in South Africa is poverty.
Watching the effects of homelessness in our society can truly be heartbreaking.
Especially when many people did everything 'right' and still end up in a less than ideal situation. Not long ago we heard the story of Gibson Nzimande who was a graduate living on the streets...
So it's certainly safe to say that not all people living on the streets have chosen to.
As much as there is this stereotype that many homeless people have contributed to their circumstance, don't judge a book by its cover...
On that note, a young man recently posted a video that he didn't truly think through before posting. The video has text overlay reading:
"Ninja Turtles living in Cape Town."
The homeless people seem to be living inside a stormwater drain, anything to try and find some warmth through the winter...
