What are the symptoms of depression? Diane-Maree Rauch shares her personal story

Depression is not a bad word. For mom-of-three and attorney Diane-Maree Rauch, depression is part of her everyday life, and she opened up about the diagnosis and treatment of the condition.

According to Mayo Clinic, depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think, and behave, and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.

Elana spoke to Diane-Maree Rauch, who is a mom to three children and an attorney. Diane-Maree opened up about living with depression and how it has become part of her life.
