This woman hadn't washed her hair in more than two years

The effects of mental health can go unnoticed, which is why checking in with friends and family is so important.
Not always do we get things right - and that is extremely true when it comes to doing life.
Sometimes we have the guidance and support we need, but other times, we lose our way. For some, playing it cool as if you have it all together is a well-mastered skill.
Scarily, not many people can tell when you are okay and when you are not. Which is what makes it so vital for us to do regular check ins with family and friends.
A woman who took the first step in recognising she needed help went to a hairdresser.
After not washing her hair for more than two years, her hair had become knotted and matted.
But as she began the process of healing herself, she got the courage to visit the hairdresser - a woman who didn't judge her but helped her.
A rare find, and one that we needed to share.
