Heritage Day isn't the only time we enjoy having a braai; we enjoy having braais throughout the year, especially during the festive season.

Nothing says festive better than a braai. Certain sides always elevate a braai to the next level in preparation, and one of the firm favourites is pap

However, many people avoid making pap and just enjoy their vleis because they are intimidated by the procedure. It takes some effort—we won't sugarcoat that—but when you get to eat the fluffy goodness, it all seems worth it.

We live in a generation of women working smarter, not harder. Gone are the days when women had hours to spare in the kitchen, preparing meals for their families.

Finding a more efficient solution to preparing a staple in homes has become part of the new era of cooking. Traditionalists might snub you if they saw you using this method, but we think it's brilliant. Fusing the modern with the traditional is what the modern-day woman is all about, and we commend her for thinking outside the box.

A woman stepping outside the wooden stick era of pap-making shared a video on how she makes her pap. She has found the benefits of using a stick blender and singing its praises.

Over and above the benefits of not experiencing hand cramps, she also said that the pap comes out "smooth and easy to eat".
