Young, fun Afrikaans teacher wins hearts of Mzansi

It really does make a world of difference to have a fun teacher.
They say you don't work a day in your life if you enjoy what you do.
We take that to mean that when you enjoy your work, it doesn't feel like work.
If we had things our way, we would want that for everyone, because it really does make life so much better.
A teacher from Emalahleni, Mpumalanga inspired us with this line of thinking.

Anzel Roux, an Afrikaans teacher, shared a video on her TikTok page recently that won the hearts of Mzansi.
But the reason she won our hearts as a nation is because it was evidently clear that she had won the hearts of her students.
From the way they cheered and interacted with her silliness in class, we could tell that they enjoyed learning with her.
And, ultimately, isn't that what learning should be, fun?
Take a look at her interacting with her class in the video which has over 800,000 views. Courtesy of TikTok.

One person commented: "I want a young fun Afrikaans teacher like you we only got the old mean ones😭"
And we have to agree. We are seeing more and more teachers who are engaging with their students in a fun and upbeat way.
It certainly has made a difference in them wanting to learn and holding on to their attention.
