A video of a young girl trashing a grocery store has gone viral on social media

The video has many people talking because the girl walks around a Walmart, throwing things off the shelves and smashing bottles, giving the shoppers a real show.

The video has been viewed millions of times and has people questioning where the young girl's parents were and why no one stopped her from causing so much damage.

The topic of gentle parenting came to the forefront. People questioned if her behaviour was a result of gentle parenting, but there is a common misconception about this type of parenting. It has been assumed that if you adopt a gentle parenting style, you don't discipline your kids, but that's not the case.

"Gentle parenting is a clear trend, perhaps especially among millennial and Gen Z parents. It stems from a deep desire to respect children and their emotions, hoping it will have positive long-term effects on their mental health." (Business Insider)

Her behaviour warranted some intervention from her parents, Walmart workers, and/or fellow shoppers, but no one dared to approach her during her rampage.

While she made her way around the store, throwing items around and stomping on them, workers called out, warning her that there would be consequences. But one woman followed her around and tried to defend her actions.

This woman has been receiving some backlash on social media, with many people saying no child should be allowed to destroy someone else's property without consequences.

We are unsure as to whether or not she was mentally stable or having a tantrum, but letting her get away with so much damage was unacceptable.

There has been no update when publishing this piece about what happened next. Whether or not she was reprimanded or held accountable has not been established.
