Man miraculously discovered washed up on KZN beach

A random microlight flip from Ballito turned out to be a man's only chance at survival.

A man who made good on a promise to a friend took his microlight aircraft for a flight from Ballito in Kwa Zulu-Natal to the Amatikulu area on Thursday, stumbled upon a body washed up on the beach.
In a post on Facebook, Reghard Roets shared details about the discovery and the logistics of getting the man to a medical facility close by.

Upon spotting the 'body', Roets said he tried to land his aircraft but couldn't due to the terrain of the beach. He then decided to contact his wife, who immediately contacted a search and recovery team.
