Australian Mom shares cute photo of her quintuplets
Updated | By Poelano Malema
It is not often that you hear of a woman conceiving quintuplets naturally. According to statistics, the chance of this happening is about one in 55 million. Kim Tucci, 26, gave birth to her quintuplets in January with the help of 50 doctors and nurses at the King Edward Memorial Hospital, and it reportedly took just two minutes to deliver the five.
Newborn son Keith and his four sisters - Ali, Penelope, Tiffany and Beatrix, were all born naturally, and now their mom has shared adorable pictures of them, thanks to Erin Elizabeth Photography that organised the photoshoot. Tucci, who shared her pregnancy journey on Facebook, said doctors had warned her that the likelihood of her giving birth to all five children alive and healthy was very slim. So she was given an option of terminating three of her children and saving only two, BBC reported.
Luckily for her, she chose to carry on with the pregnancy, believing that all her children would make it through. Thankfully, all five survived.
"No-one thought I could do it, and I did, I showed everyone in my life," Tucci told 60 Minutes. "50 fingers 50 toes, 6 hearts beating at once. My body fought the toughest of battles to get five babies here safely," the proud mother wrote on Facebook. She added that everything she did was for her children.
"Everything I did I did for them," she said.
According to reports, the family has to change about 350 nappies a week, and she hopes to raise enough money to buy a family car that can carry the whole family. Tucci has three other children with her husband Vaughn.
In other news, Vietnam twins were reportedly found to have different fathers.
