Police in South Australia managed to remain calm after a very close encounter with a Great White shark during an investigation at sea.
On a regular day out at work, police don't expect to see anything too surprising. After all, they are trained to anticipate problems and to implement solutions on the spot.
But when you take police off land and put them on a dinghy in the sea, things start to change.

For the South Australian Police, what was planned to be a day of checking that the recreational boats in the Tapley Shoal area were meeting all regulations turned into a real-life Jaws moment.
A Great White shark measuring between 4.5 and 5 metres (longer than the police boat) circled them for a total of ten minutes.
The police remained calm and added a good-natured spin on the incident by naming the shark 'Noah'.
The Great White, which is perceived as one of the biggest threats in South Australia's waters, is considered an endangered animal in the region.
