Did the Bible predict the Blood Moon apocalypse tonight?
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Could this be the end of the world? According to this Pastor, it is.
A Bible verse may have predicted the end of times coinciding with the Blood Moon phenomenon.
Tonight, South Africans get to enjoy the lunar eclipse longer than the rest of the world. People gazing up at the stars will not only be able to see the moon when it turns a pale reddish colour but also the planet Mars.
With events like these, conspiracy theorists are saying this could be the sign of the end of times. The moon is expected to turn a shade of red in what will be the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century. This celestial event may have been foretold in a biblical verse in the book of Revelation.
A verse in Revelation 6:12-16 King James Version seemingly describes the Blood Moon itself.
The verse reads: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.”

The verse then describes what could be interpreted as a series of disasters.
It continues: “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
“And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.
“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.”
Do you believe this is what's going to happen tonight?
Indiana-based pastor Paul Begley has warned the Blood Moon is a prophetic sign of the apocalypse and tonight could be the final event.
