Having pets around gives you a sense of responsibility. Wherever you go, they go, and if you don't feed them or play with them enough, they will definitely let you know. Pets also help you to keep focused, so that you don't forget about any of your important day-to-day tasks.

For example, if you have problems with your alarm clock, then consider getting yourself a cat who will do this for you:
He was quick to strike out with his little paw as if to say: 'Hey! You're going to be late for work. Stop taking pictures!'
But does this particular cat care about punctuality, or does he just hate taking pictures...?
