Elderly woman rocks out with the best of them in Slayer mosh pit
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Lynn Holko, who has been a fan of heavy metal band Slayer for many years, has just proven that you are never too old for the mosh pit.
Does a heavy metal fan ever lose their flair for headbanging? In the case of Lynn Holko, a longtime Slayer fan who, despite being in a wheelchair, just had to make it to one of the band's farewell shows in Nampa, Idaho.
Lynn's son-in-law was by her side and took it upon himself to give Lynn an experience she would never forget: her first time in the mosh pit at a heavy metal concert.
Lynn's son-in-law believed it was the best gift he could give her: "She had never in all her years been into a mosh pit. I feel everyone should experience it at least once, so I took her in her wheelchair... She had the best time of her life."
The other revellers, showing a more sensitive side to heavy metal fans that is not always publicised, helped to clear a path for Lynn and make sure her lap around the pit was as safe as possible. Lynn looks delighted with her once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Many of the younger Slayer fans who spotted her were happy to see that the elderly woman had not allowed age to distinguish her spirit and take away her love for authentic hard rock.
