Emergency surgery saves the life of a cobra
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
The founder of the Snake Saver Society in India took it upon himself to save the life of a cobra that had been very badly injured. Footage shows the incredible surgery that repaired the snake's spine.
What would you do if you came across a badly injured cobra?
The majority of people would probably not immediately try to save the snake, especially if it already looked like its chances of survival were very low.
But for snake-loving Chadalawada Kranthi of the Snake Saver Society, there was no question about it: he had to save the cobra.

The snake had been beaten with a stick and left with a severely damaged spine and injured intestines. Chadalawada accepted the challenge of nursing the cobra back to health and took it home with him to administer first aid, according to Mashable.
The morning after, Chadalawada took the snake to a veterinary surgeon who conducted an hour-long procedure to suture the spine and stomach.
Thankfully, Chadalawada's efforts were not in vain, as the snake is seen slowly slithering towards the end of the video below.
