Grandpa is adorably inept at filming a proposal video
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Former Navy photographer John Hart was very excited when he was asked to film his grandson's proposal moment, but things didn't turn out exactly as he had planned.
Proposing to your future wife (or husband) is a very big moment. Whether you spend months preparing or you decide within days that you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, the memories of the moment you ask the all-important question will stay with you forever.
And, if you are an avid social media user, the moment will be online for all your followers to see, as well. That is, of course, if you manage to get a good videographer - or at least someone who knows how to switch a phone camera out of selfie-mode.
When Jayce Flauding decided to propose to his girlfriend at the top of the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albequerque, New Mexico, he thought his grandfather John Hart, a former Navy photographer, would be the perfect person to immortalise the moment on film.
John's smile is wide as he holds the camera up and waits for Jayce to get down on one knee. What John does not notice is that he has the selfie camera on, so the audience cannot see Jayce popping the question.

While we don't get to see Jayce's girlfriend saying yes, the joy in John's face perfectly conveys the beauty of the moment.
It looks like technology got the better of Jayce's grandpa this time, but this is still a story that the family will be telling for years to come.
