In 2015, social media went abuzz after a woman posted a picture of a strange sea creature she found in a tin of tuna. Tweeps went crazy guessing what the strange creature could be, until canned fish company Princes did investigations and found that it was a tongue-eating louse.
In recent news, it's been reported that Applegate is recalling its Chicken Nuggets after pieces of plastic were found in the product.
In a statement released by the company on Sunday, a handful of customers contacted its Consumer Relations Department to report they had found small pieces of plastic in the Chicken Nuggets in 8 oz. packages with the Best Before date of September 27, 2016.
The company, however, said no reports of illness or injuries relating to the product have been reported.
It is urging anyone in possession of the 8oz packages to return them to the shops where they were bought.
In 2010, Britain's biggest food producer, Hovis, was fined nearly £17,000 after a father complained that he found a mouse baked into a loaf of bread.
In North America, another man complained of finding a mouse at the bottom of his McDonald's drink.
Robin Sandusky found a lizard's head with half-open eyelids in a green salad bought from a New York cafe.
Now, if that is not enough to make you feel sick, in 2012, a Chinese student found a used condom mixed in with a bowl of rice which he ordered at his school cafeteria. How disgusting.
