A group of safari goers at the Kruger National Park witnessed a rare confrontation between a black mamba and chameleon.
A group of wildlife enthusiasts who were driving along the Kruger National Park's Voortrekker Road witnessed a rare fiery confrontation between a chameleon and a black mamba.
The footage from the trip shows that the wonders of nature are not only found in the interactions between the bigger animals in the wild.

The video shows the chameleon puffing itself and changing colour, apparently in an attempt to camouflage itself from a nearby enemy. The chameleon begins to run away but is soon caught by the black snake, which scurried out of the nearby bushes.
It appears that the snake had bitten the chameleon minutes before and had been waiting for its poison to take effect, which in turn would make catching it much easier.
The children in the group are audibly excited to see reptiles in action in the wild.
One of the group, Casper Badenhorst, spoke to LatestSightings.com, describing the encounter as "not likely to be repeated", adding that people don't often get to see a wild snake catching something.
