A 52-year-old man in Wisconsin refused to back down even as police officers fired several "bean bag rounds" at him during a confrontation outside his home.
Police in Marshfield, Wisconsin were called out to apprehend a 52-year-old man who was reported for threatening a social worker and a probation officer with a knife.
The man, who has since been identified as Patrick Langreck, reportedly chased the two people out of his home with a knife and refused to give up his weapon when ordered to do so by police.
As Patrick approached the police vehicles, they shouted at him to drop the knife. When he refused, police fired several "bean bag rounds" - lead shots encased in fabric, designed to cause temporary muscle spasms and immobilise suspects so they may be apprehended - at Patrick.

Patrick dodges the bullets and continues to walk towards the officers, apparently determined to make his point. Police then send in a dog to bring Patrick down.
Patrick has since appeared in court on four charges of "recklessly endangering safety".
