A drag racing stunt went horribly wrong on Umgeni Road in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
When it comes to drag racing, there is almost no limit to the lengths speed addicts will go to in order to show off their skills.

An open strip of road late at night is too enticing to resist, as the behaviour of these drivers from Kwa-Zulu Natal shows.
Two drivers set off down Umgeni Road at an unbelievable speed, and CCTV footage of what happened next is very sobering.

The two cars crashed into each other, and in the aftermath one person was reported dead, while two survivors were transported to hospital by Rescue Care workers.
This particular road is well-known for illegal drag racing. Citizens responded to the news with concern and outrage, with some demanding that the city to do more to decrease such incidents.
Maybe the city can create safe zones for drag racing because it doesn't look like it will stop its been going for years, maybe open the old airport run way for these races

You can risk your own life, but what about other people on the road who aren't delusional about having fake super cars??? Grow up! Or at least think about your families who will mourn you when you are gone.

Ahead of the festive season, where more of us will be on the roads for longer periods of time, this should serve as a reminder of how dangerous speeding is. Please be careful out there.
