Man builds huge Christmas tree using beer cans
Updated | By Poelano Malema
A man from Australia has built a Christmas tree using only beer cans. Clever!
The humongous tree is 4.4 metres long and two metres wide. How is that for putting used cans to good use?!
But Wes Boyd’s love for beer is not the only reason he decided to make a Christmas tree from beer cans. According to PerthNow, Boyd lost his mother and grandmother to Alzheimer’s, and he did the tree to raise funds for a charity called Alzheimer Australia. He is reportedly collecting money from his home every night from people who are eager to see the tree and donate to charity.
It took Wes 2536 cans to make the tree, and many hours of work.
"Me and some mates love drinking VBs, and two to three mates have been bringing empty cans over here every week for the past 14 months," Boyd told the publication.
