Never approach a life-size snowman at the mall
Updated | By Nkhensani Manabe
One random act of Christmastime kindness, with a side order of - fear?
It's Christmas time, which means there will be snowflakes and snowmen all over the place - even though Christmas is at the height of summer in South Africa.
Malls will be overrun with life-size toys and TV characters who will usually try to get children's attention, and then lure them (and their parents) into the shops.

These characters are usually harmless, but if you ever come across a snowman holding this sign, be warned:
Kind strangers notice that the snowman's sign has fallen, and try to attach it back onto him. But just as they get close, the creature comes alive!
These shoppers definitely got a lot more than they had bargained for.
