Policeman on horseback's incredible gallop for justice

The police at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan are often seen patrolling on horseback. On this particular afternoon, they had to take things up from a canter to a full-speed gallop in order for justice to be served.
Students of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan are accustomed to seeing police patrolling on horseback. But they seldom get to witness one of the mounted policeman pulling a driver over for breaching the laws.
This is exactly what Sam Farrah, a nursing student at the university, witnessed while she was driving down the road with her friend. Sam explained to WXYZ-TV Detroit that she and her friend took the decision to film when they noticed that the officer, identified as Officer Brandon Murphy, was beginning to speed up his pursuit.

Officer Murphy and his trusty steed, who is named Remy, gained on a driver who was not wearing her seatbelt and was driving while using her phone.
The officer described how the driver was shocked and amused to find that she was being pulled over by a horse.
The driver received tickets for her transgressions.
Officer Murphy told the local news station that his reliable Remy was the real hero of the day.
