Teacher's conference turns into brutal chair-throwing riot

It goes without saying that people tend to disagree at gatherings, but this teachers union meeting ended in a very ugly chair-throwing riot.

It is reported that at least 15 teachers were injured in a brawl that took place between the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) and the National Education Workers Coordinator (CNTE) in Mexico last week. According to tes.com, the brawl resulted in some teachers suffering head injuries and broken noses.
It is not clear what caused the fight, but according to Daily Star, rival unions began warring after CNTE lost a vote to SNTE. What is even worse according to the publication is that members of a private security firm hired to control the event allegedly carried out some of the worst attacks, including kicking already injured staff.
