There's something special about Cocoa the Yorkie
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
Yorkshire terrier Cocoa was rescued from a puppy mill one year ago and has been charming people with her unique smile and heartwarming story ever since.
Yorkshire Terriers are known for being super cute and highly photogenic. The miniature canines have a way of creeping into the hearts of everyone they meet.
Linda Facci, creative director at New York's Magnolia Bakery and lover of dogs of all shapes and sizes, just could not resist adopting Cocoa the Yorkie after finding her at a rescue shelter.

It is Cocoa's little pink tongue - which is permanently sticking out the side of her mouth - that first attracts people to her. Linda says people talk about how cute Cocoa's tongue is, while others worry that the six-year-old terrier may be sticking her tongue out because she is constantly thirsty.

Linda explains that Cocoa had all but two of her teeth taken out after it was discovered that they were rotten.
Cocoa had been living under abusive conditions at a puppy mill before she was rescued, and the neglect she experienced there left her teeth in a terrible condition.
Despite her painful past, Cocoa has adjusted very well to her new life with Linda, who describes the close bond the two of them have: "Cocoa is always on my couch next to me, she sits in a heap on my pile of wool, she’s the best companion and best decision I made."
Cocoa has also inspired Linda to keep making felt miniature replicas of dogs, a business idea which Linda says has helped her to bring joy to other people.
