The top five scariest horror movie characters

Halloween’s around the corner and Barney figured what better time is there to countdown some of the scariest horror movie characters we’ve ever seen. Now, if you’re a little sensitive and get scared easily, you might want to stop reading right about now.

5. Jason

What’s scarier than a guy who wears a hockey mask, wields around a machete, and cannot die? Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th is definitely one of the most memorable horror movie character.

4. Freddy Krueger

Scarred face, creepy hat, and he comes to attack you in your dreams. Oh, and he’s Jason’s mortal enemy. Need we say more?

3. Hannibal Lector

He’s a cannibal. That alone is enough to earn him a spot on our top five.

2. Ghostface

The star of four “Scream” movies. Ghostface is characterized by his signature Halloween mask and propensity to taunt his victims. His appearances in the Scary Movie franchise might have taken away some of his scary factor, but he’s still pretty kickass.
