This tree grows chips and tomato sauce at the same time
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Forget about buying chips and tomato sauce, now you can grow your own! Yes, you read right.
This comes after Britain's Thompson and Morgan horticultural firm launched a very unique plant that produces both potatoes and tomatoes.
The plant, called TomTat, is for those chip lovers who have limited garden space or live in flats.
"Many of our customers are green fingered. But over recent years we’ve witnessed the frustration of shoppers who have less and less space to grow their own. This new plant is just the solution for our shrinking gardens and will enable everyone to follow their produce from plant pot to plate,” Morrisons gardening expert Glen Cooper was quoted as saying on MSN.
TomTat, which is also dubbed the “ketchup and chip tree”, reportedly took six years to perfect.
The “ketchup and chip tree” will be available for sale at Morrisons stores as from Monday, and goes for the price of R105.35.
Now how is that for making life more affordable?!
