Watch: German pianist playing John Lennon's "Imagine" #PrayForParis

German pianist Davide Martello - known for creating poetic moments in situations of conflict - drove his piano over 600 kms to play in Paris shortly after the Friday 13th shootings.
It was a poignant moment when he drove up with his grand piano right outside the Bataclan theatre and started playing John Legend's "Imagine". It was what the city of Paris and perhaps even the world needed at that point in time.
Hope was brought to the bustling cultural centre by German-Italian pianist Davide Martello a day after the fateful Friday the 13th shootings.
Recognised by the European parliament for his contribution to European cooperation and the promotion of common values, Martello has been known to play in conflict zones including in Taksim Square, Afghanistan and at the the Maidan revolution in Kiev, Ukraine.
