Updated | By Suné du Toit
JacarandaFM's #ProjectWaterDrop on Wednesday started bringing relief to drought stricken communities in the North West province.
Trucks will take on three routes to deliver a total of 1.3 million litres of water.
The first convoy of trucks reached Sannieshof where four trucks were being offloaded. From there the convoy will lead another four trucks to Delareyville and four more to Vryburg.
As the convoy stopped to break up to allow traffic to pass, people approached to ask for water.

People from all over gathered to welcome JacarandaFM and #ProjectWaterDrop
The project, spearheaded by The Complimentary Breakfast, saw listeners donating water to the cause after a plight by residents of various areas in the North West, who are plagued by the drought.
North West was hit hard by the recent drought with reports of children drinking water from air-conditioning outlets.
Listeners opened their hearts and donated hundreds of thousands of bottles of water to the #ProjectWaterDrop initiative with schools, rugby teams and corporates also helping to load the water onto trucks.
