Watch: the world's quietest room is so quiet, you can hear the sound of your heart beat
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Imagine being in such a quiet place that the only sound you can hear is the sound emanating from your own body parts...how creepy!
This particular anechoic chamber is one with a record sound level of -9 decibels - the world’s quietest room.
The walls, floor and ceiling in the room are all designed to absorb sound rather than reflecting it - unlike most surfaces.
But be warned; apparently, people start to freak out pretty quickly, especially when the lights are off. The longest recorded time anyone has been in this room with the lights off is 45 minutes.
For some peace and quiet, will you be making your way to this room? What are you most scared of? The dark? Absolute quiet? Loneliness? Let Barney know #Workzone2
