Woman becomes latest victim of a hijack in Durban
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Hijacking is a serious problem in South Africa. Between the years 2015 and 2016, South African Police reported that there were over 14,600 reported car hijackings - and it seems the problem is escalating.
A video of a hijack that took place in Pinetown, Durban has gone viral. The video shows a Golf GTI approaching the road followed by a silver Peugeot. The GTI can be seen stopping next to a gentleman by the side of the road and a woman driver getting out of the car. Within the blink of an eye, a driver comes out from the Peugeot looking ready to attack the woman, who can be seen running for her life.
Shortly after that, another guy from the Peugeot gets into the Golf and steals it. See the scary hijack below, and just in case you get hijacked and are not sure what to do, check out Maljan's tips on what to do if you are hijacked.
