Young man in a '57 Chevy grants grandfather's birthday wish

Cam Dedman won himself the "Grandson of the Year" award when he surprised his grandfather Fred with a fully-restored Chevy for his 81st birthday.
The cars we drive in our youth define us in many ways. Everything from the model of the car to how hard you had to work to pay it off and the trips you took in it all become invaluable memories.
It's no wonder then that people choose to keep these cars long after they have stopped working.
For Fred Lamar, this car is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. He kept this car in the garage even while it was being eaten up by rust because it meant so much to him.

Knowing this, his grandson Cam Dedman made a plan to one day restore the Chevy Bel Air and present it to his grandfather. Fred's reaction to receiving the unexpected and deeply thoughtful gift is priceless:
Cam, who is an avid car lover who spends most of his time sourcing parts to rebuild vehicles, considers his grandfather Fred to be his best friend.
He worked hard for seven years to afford the rebuild.
Most people would give anything to relive the best moments from their youth, and that is what makes Cam's gift even more amazing. This is certainly one of the best birthday gifts that Fred has ever received.
