BBC News anchor goes into labour shortly after presenting
Updated | By Poelano Malema
BBC News presenter, Victoria Fritz, went into labour shortly after reading the news on live television, MSN reports.
Fritz was reportedly only due to deliver in December, but her baby decided to come on Tuesday shortly after Fritz left the BBC studio, according to the Guardian. Although her husband was supposed to be her birthing partner, he was unfortunately caught up in traffic, resulting in him missing the birth.
With the help of her co-presenter Sally Nugent and other members of the BBC Breakfast Team, Fritz was rushed to the St Mary's Hospital where she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
My heartfelt thanks to @sallynugent & St Mary's drs&midwives who helped me deliver my little boy yesterday. A @BBCBreakfast team effort! 👶🏼
