How to throw a winter party
Updated | By Poelano Malema
We bring you tips on how to throw the perfect winter party.
Who said you can’t throw a party in winter? Just because it is winter doesn’t mean the partying should stop. With the right planning and activities, you can host the perfect cold-weather party.
Below are some tips:
Play music that will get people on their feet
What better way to keep warm than with a dance, and what is a party without a bit of dancing anyway? The right kind of dances can help the body heat up. So make sure you entertain your guests with music that will make them get on their feet and party the winter away.
Serve hot food
Make sure you serve your guests with very hot dishes. Stews and hot soups are great ideas. Also make sure you have lots of hot beverages, such as tea and hot chocolate, available.
Have fire pits
A fire is a perfect source of heat for the winter season. Apart from your fireplace, you can have fire pits. Not only are they affordable, but there are also portable ones, so your guests can be warm wherever they are, be it indoors or outdoors.
Keep your guests warm
Make sure you have extra blankets and throws for your guests, especially if you are planning to also have movies as part of the activities, or have the party continue until the early hours of the morning, where some people may need to sleep at your place.
Have lots of fun activities
Plan lots of activities that will keep your guests physically active, such as fun games.
Whatever you do, just make sure you involve lots of fun!
