A whirlwind period of wacky weather: scenes from the Tembisa tornado and hail storms across Gauteng

What a phenomenal week this was! Weather records smashed, with the first recorded tornado to hit Gauteng in July, leaving an unfortunate trail of devastation in Tembisa in Gauteng's East Rand. Hail storms were also the order of the day, while other parts of the country saw snow in unprecidented weather conditions.
"A tornado in Tembisa" almost reads like the title of a poorly produced horror movie - but this piece of horror was all too real when the tornado terrorised the suburb's Phulumani Mall on Tuesday:

Meanwhile, a bit further South from Tembisa, Vischkuil in Springs saw a hailstorm that looked like snow:
