Government given 5 days to stabilise Vuwani

The Congress of South African Students (Cosas) has given the Department of Education as well as the police five working days to roll out a decisive solution to the current unrest in Vuwani. Cosas Secretary General Khulekani Skosana said they will mobilise thousands of students to protect the schools in the area themselves if the government does not. "Today we see our parents burning our schools. It is a shame. We are embarrassed [by] our parents and we don't think this is a way to protest," Skosana said.
